Ok, lets get something clear NOW… Coldplay are awesome. I think so, David Tennant thinks so… THEY ARE AWESOME.
That said, lets get reviewing.
I wasn’t sure which song to do next, so I let my playlist choose again. it chose Forget You by the Monster Mash, so I picked this.
Fix You is a brilliant song. It’s subject matter is basically the idea behind uncontrollable emotions such as love and sadness. The singer, Chris Martin, is stating how he will help the listener, referring t0 it as fixing them. About 2/3 of the way through the song, there is an amazing instrumental, which starts out quiet, the slowly builds up before suddenly, there’s an amazing drum section. Every song should have a build up like this.
Out of the song, there are a few iconic lyrics. Of these, I have chosen this one to share with you.
And the tears come streaming down your face,
When you lose something you can’t replace,
When you love someone but it goes to waste,
Could it be worse?
Truly inspiring lyrics. I think we’ve all had those times when we’ve loved someone but not told them because we were scared of how they’d react. Well, I say screw what they think. Tell them. Let them know how you feel. ‘If you never try, you’ll never know.’
Anyway, back to the song. I highly recommend that you listen to it if you get a chance. it might not be your cup o’ tea, but it’s bound to make you feel differently about Coldplay, or emotions in general. And if that doesn’t work I could always try to fix you…
