Released in 2011 and starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy this is a stylish new take on Robin Hood with a splash of Bonnie and Clyde. The storyline is simple enough. Time is the new currency and you are born with 1 year. The countdown starts when you reach 25, the same age you stop getting older. It is possible to live forever excluding accidents. When the masses have days on their clock if they are lucky, and there are local thieves that will take even that its time for someone to do something about it. Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is gifted over a century by a man who had chosen to die, then finds himself accused of murdering his benefactor. Chased by Raymond Leon (Cillian Murphy) and befriended by Sylvia Weis (Amanda Seyfried) the millionairess of the Weis fortune he sets out to share the wealth.
This is an interesting idea, and calls our attention to the class divide, where even in our society money can prolong your life. Quite well done with few silly mistakes this was enjoyable, if a little preachy at times.
