Everyone has a guilty pleasure. Most have more. It’s true. I have a few. Some know them, some do not. EVERYONE has a musical guilty pleasure. Again, most have more. Me? I have HUNDREDS. Well, not hundreds, but more than I can think of, or am willing to tell you about. It’s true. It’s really true. Long winded story aside, THIS is one of my guilty pleasures. Enjoy.
Okay – let’s get this straight. I hate the operatic choir thing that goes on in this song. I don’t know what it is, or whether it’s supposed to be the orgasms of angels or something, but I don’t like it, so it shouldn’t exist.
I do like, however, the whole drum thing she has going on in this song, as it really brings the song into focus for me. Don’t know how. It just… It just sounds better when the drums kick in. It gives me something to join in with. Clap here, slap there, etc.
I guess what I’m trying to say, is that I’m sorry I haven’t written a review for a while, and that, in all honesty, I’ve missed it. A lot. I kept meaning to write and I never got round to it. I’m sorry. I’ll never do it again. I hope.
So, the lyrics. She has a thing for Halo, doesn’t she? She must love that series. I liked the first two, but after that, stopped playing because I didn’t have the consoles I needed. True story.
Yeah. She definitely likes Halo. She likes good people. That’s another thing about the lyrics…
Okay, I admit. The song isn’t actually that good, and I never actually listen to it. Maybe it’s not a guilty pleasure after all…
Okay. I’m ending this review before I confess to something stupid, like killing Kennedy, or writing Never Gonna Give You Up… Final verdict, before I delete it from my music library?
