Bohemian Rhapsody. The UK’s favourite number one, a song that has been covered (poorly, yet amusingly) by The Muppets and has all had us asking whether this is the real life, or if this is just fantasy. I present to you all, the review!

Bohemian Rhapsody is probably the first song that comes to most people’s minds when they think of Queen, and yet, here it is, third on the list. What the hell, Spotify?
It’s got a collection of segments to it – it’s got the calm, piano backed section, it’s got the operatic section, as described in the trailer for the upcoming Queen / Freddie Mercury biopic, funnily enough, also named Bohemian Rhapsody…
Which looks fantastic, to me. I also watched this trailer… Expect a review shortly after release. I’m looking forward to it. And I feel as thought it’s brilliant that the longer trailer (from the link) completely supports my stance of We Will Rock You, published on Monday, before I even knew that trailer existed. Remarkable!
So, onto the song review.
I’m a fan. I like the variety, I like the fact that it’s relatively easy to sing along to (if not necessarily at the right pitch!), and I love the music video which, at this point, is so well known, I’m not even going to show it to you.
This, to me, is not Queen’s greatest song, but it is definitely a song from the height of their success and it shows from the way they have performed. They demonstrate their excellence well and if you haven’t heard this song before, I implore you to give it a listen. You won’t regret it.
