Apologies for the inactivity since the last post. It’s time for another music review. Today I thought I’d drag something out from the murky depths of obscurity, ‘Honeythief’ by the relatively unknown dream-pop band Halou.

It’s because my laptop broke recently; which was a good thing as it turns out cause it gave me the opportunity to visit That Guy, who fixed it for me, and has led so fa to two very fun visits. They have so far borrowed my laptop, so TG could play The Walking Dead: season 2 and his girlfriend Claudia has borrowed my Game of thrones season 4 boxset, yet i still feel i owe them a house warming gift….. Hello. It seems that this will be my first review.
Today I’d like to talk about a song called ‘Coyotes’ by the American indie rock band Modest Mouse. This track is from Strangers to Ourselves. A rather recent album that came out just last month. Modest Mouse doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves. For someone who hasn’t heard of the band before, I’d consider this track a pretty good introduction.
So, you may have missed it, but over the last few months, there have been a few references to the fact that I am due to become a father – in fact, it’s much more imminent now. At some point within the next 12 days, I will have a son, whom we will be calling Henry. With that in mind, I decided to go for a child-centric review, tonight.
I’ve never heard this song before tonight – at least, not knowing what it was – and here I am, reviewing it. What do I think, though?
